Yemi Mwana registered a brace as Bandari FC came from a goal down to claim a 3-1 victory win over hard fighting Chemelil Sugar in a Kenyan Premier League match played Tuesday at Mbaraki stadium in Mombasa City.
Bandari reduced the gap between them and second-placed Sofapaka to a single point after producing a stunning comeback at the Mbaraki ground.
Chemelil Sugar blinked first in the 8th minute before Bandari grabbed an equalizer ten minutes later through Yemi Mwana.
The Bernard Mwalala led side added a second goal through David King’atua then Mwana completed his brace to make it three-one.
Bandari remained in the third position on the log with 55 points after 29 matches, one point behind Sofapaka who have played 30 league games this season.
Meanwhile, four matches will be played on Wednesday with reigning champions and league leaders Gor Mahia playing away to Nzoia Sugar FC at the Mumias Sports Complex.
Zoo Kericho will host Western Stima at Kericho Green stadium while Sony Sugar will lock horns with Kariobangi Sharks at Awendo Green stadium. KCB will host AFC Leopards at Machakos County stadium.
