Youths slam leaders trying to edge Ruto out of 2022 elections

A group of youth allied to Deputy President William Ruto have slammed political leaders trying to edge him from the Jubilee Party ahead of 2022 general elections.

The group of youths under a youth caucus dubbed “Youths for Ruto Kajiado” were reacting after a section of Baringo youths were reported to have referred Kajiado as KANU Gideon Moi political bedroom owing to his recent visit at COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli’s Kajiado home.

Senator Moi was accompanied by leaders from both Jubilee and ODM political parties supporting President Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga handshake politics.

The pro deputy president youths when addressing the press at Kitengela town reiterated their full support towards  Dp  Ruto 2022 presidential candidature.

They urged leaders to stop playing divisive politics saying their aim was to lock Ruto out of the 2022 presidential race.

They took issue with political acclamation recently being made by politicians at Atwoli’s Kajiado home saying they do not reflect Kajiado county political inclination.

The seasoned unionist Kajiado home has turned into a political powerhouse hosting both ODM and Jubilee politicians in what is perceived as a 2022 succession politics game plan.

The caucus vowed to continue reaching out to more youths to rally behind the Deputy Presidency.
