Zoo Kericho takes down Chemelil Sugar in KPL match

Zoo Kericho hit man Nicholas Kipkirui scored a crucial goal to hand the hosts a 1-0 win over Chemelil Sugar in a Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match played at Kericho Green Stadium.

Visitors Chemelil Sugar started the match on a high note and almost took the lead in the opening minutes but Felix Oluoch was ruled offside.

Zoo Kericho responded well with numerous counter attacks that were dealt with by a stable Chemilil Sugar backline.

Kipkirui scored the lone goal in the 53rd minute to hand Zoo Kericho maximum points.

Meanwhile, Bandari defeated Kakamega Homeboyz 1-0 to hand new tactician Bernard Mwalala his first win.

Darius Msagha scored the crucial goal for the Dockers in the dying minutes of the first half.

The win moves Bandari to third place with 35 points, 14 behind league leaders and defending champions Gor Mahia.
