Chandaria Foundation, Administration Police unite to empower officers with disabilities

The Manu Chandaria Foundation has joined forces with the Administration Police Service (APS) to enhance support for officers with disabilities.

While in Nairobi, Deputy Inspector General Gilbert Masengeli, graciously accepted a donation of twenty wheelchairs from the foundation, symbolizing a shared dedication to dignity and inclusion within the police force.

The wheelchairs were formally presented by Vincent Rapando of the Manu Chandaria Foundation. During the handover, DIG Masengeli expressed gratitute and at the same time confirmed that the support will reaches officers across various regions.

“The Administration Police Service remains committed to fostering strategic partnerships that promote care, inclusion, and the well-being of all its officers. This collaboration with the Manu Chandaria Foundation marks a significant step forward in creating an inclusive environment where every officer can thrive,” he said

By distributing the wheelchairs equitably, the APS and the foundation aim to empower officers, enabling them to continue their vital work with enhanced mobility and dignity.

Also present at the event were Lazarus Opicho, Commandant SGB & VIP Protection Unit, Lilian Kanini, AIG – Director of Medical Services, Boniface Mutua, ASP and Caroline Ndichu, CIP, among other distinguished officers.
