Nominated Senator Raphael Chimera has called on residents of Kwale County to support candidates vying under the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA), terming the party as the most reliable vehicle for accessing national government resources and development opportunities.

Speaking during the UDA Kwale Sensitization Forum for the Repeat Phase II Grassroots Elections, Chimera emphasized that aligning with the ruling party would position the region strategically to benefit from government programs and investments.

The Senator noted that under the leadership of William Ruto, the Coast region has witnessed significant development gains, particularly in infrastructure, economic empowerment, and public service delivery.

He added that continued support for the President, especially in the upcoming 2027 General Elections, would unlock even more opportunities for the region.

“Supporting UDA candidates is the best guarantee for Kwale residents to access government resources and accelerate development at the grassroots,” said Chimera.

“Under President Ruto’s leadership, the Coast region has benefited immensely from various development projects. There is even greater potential if the region fully backs his re-election in 2027,” he added.

Chimera also took the opportunity to declare his interest in the Kwale Senatorial seat in 2027, urging residents to rally behind his bid.

He highlighted his background in law and the experience he has gained in public service as key strengths that would enable him to effectively deliver on legislation, representation, and oversight for the people of Kwale.

He reaffirmed his commitment to championing the interests of the county and ensuring that residents benefit fully from national development initiatives.

“My legal expertise, coupled with the experience I have gained, places me in a strong position to effectively deliver on legislation, representation, and oversight for the people of Kwale,” he stated.

The sensitization forum forms part of UDA’s broader strategy to strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of upcoming electoral processes, as the party seeks to consolidate its support base across the Coast region.
