Political leadership and residents of Kisii and Narok counties have resolved to support current efforts by the government to end incessant border clashes.
The long-standing conflict stemming from alleged cattle theft and livestock disputes has claimed lives and resulted to massive destruction within the region.
The leaders who converged along the Transmara and Kisii, border for a peaceful dialog, condemned the violence, urging locals to leverage of lawful resolutions to settle their disputes.
However, the leadership led by Kisii County Governor Simba Arati hinted at an alleged orchestrated move by some individuals to escalate the skirmishes for selfish interests.
The violence which recurred after a group of people allegedly stormed into a neighboring village to repossess stolen livestock, has left more than three people dead, scores injured and property of unknown value destroyed.
