The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), with support from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is conducting an impact training for Court Users in Marsabit County.

The program, championed by the Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) Division, aims to equip participants with the knowledge and tools to deliver justice that is both survivor-centered and child-friendly.

Through interactive sessions, participants are exploring the legal framework, strengthening courtroom processes, and enhancing inter-agency collaboration in handling SGBV cases.

Discussions are also geared towards addressing harmful practices such as child marriage and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), while incorporating the voices and experiences of survivors.

By tackling emerging issues and fostering collaboration, the training is helping shape a more responsive, inclusive, and transformative justice system that protects and empowers the most vulnerable.
