Mudavadi: Kenyans who were enlisted in Russia-Ukraine war were in breach of law

The Government now says the 252 Kenyans who were enlisted in the Russia-Ukraine war were in breach of the law for engaging in foreign wars without the express permission from the government.

Appearing before the Senate Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi says aside from sympathizing with their predicament they ought to be prosecuted and imprisoned for 10 years for breaching Penal Code (CAP 63) – Section 68 on Foreign Enlistment.

Mudavadi says that there are section of Kenyans are doing a de-service to other taxpayers where the exchequer has to cater for their repatriation from countries they have been ferried to partake in illegal activities voluntarily.
