Nairobi Fashion Week (NFW) will return at the end of January, bringing together designers, creatives and industry players for four days of fashion showcases under the theme, ‘Decarbonize’.

The eighth edition of the event is scheduled to take place from January 28  in Nairobi, featuring pop-up events, networking opportunities and a fashion showcase gala on January 31.

This year’s fashion week will be hosted at the Sarit Expo Centre in Westlands, which will serve as the main venue for runway shows and related activities.

Nairobi Fashion Week has, over the years, positioned itself as a platform for African fashion, with a growing emphasis on responsible and ethical production.

“Season 8 is a continuation of the intent we established last year,” says Brian Kihindas, Creative Director of Nairobi Fashion Week. “Decarbonize is our call to action. It asks designers and audiences alike to rethink how fashion is consumed. We are celebrating creativity that honours both the person and the planet, merging luxury with a clean conscience.”

The 2026 edition’s theme, “Decarbonize”, is a concept that highlights environmental responsibility within the fashion industry.

According to Nairobi Fashion Week organisers, the event will feature a mix of Kenyan and international designers, many of whom are known for working with sustainable materials, upcycling techniques and ethical labour practices.

Participating Kenyan designers include:

  • Maisha by Nisria (upcycled textiles)
  • Studio Lola (minimalist knitwear)
  • VAST (architectural cuts and West African handwoven textiles)
  • Molivian
  • A Touch of Kenya
  • Kitu Kidzo

In addition to runway presentations, the programme will include panel discussions, industry talks and networking sessions aimed at fostering dialogue around sustainable fashion, circular design and innovation within the creative economy.

Tickets are currently On sale.
