Nairobi’s social scene turned up the heat when luxury lifestyle entrepreneur Dr Catherine Masitsa threw a spectacular Rio Carnival-themed party to celebrate The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa.
The lavish event at Castello Dell’Amore at The Anka House drew media personalities, influencers and reality TV fans for an evening of glitz and glamour that honoured Kenya’s representatives in the groundbreaking Pan-African series.
Dr C, as she’s popularly known, co-hosted the celebration alongside fellow cast member Zena Nyambu, both flying the Kenyan flag in this first-ever continental edition of the Ultimate Girls Trip franchise.
Dr C, a two-season veteran of The Real Housewives of Nairobi, has become a household name in East African reality entertainment, while Zena has quickly won over fans since joining the show’s second season.
Guests enjoyed an exclusive screening from the new series, offering a preview of the drama, sisterhood and adventure unfolding in Brazil.
The series brings together nine powerhouse women from across the continent. Joining the Kenyan duo are South Africa’s Annie Mthembu, Angel Ndlela, Jojo Robinson, Madam Evodia Mogase and Christall Kay, plus Nigeria’s Mariam Timmer and Princess Jecoco.
Produced by GOAT Productions, the show follows the success of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: South Africa, which became one of Showmax’s top performers in 2024. Executive producer Graeme Swanepoel describes the new season as “a celebration of African womanhood in all its power, diversity and glamour.”
