The government will go after the owners of over 1,000 health facilities that were closed for defrauding the Social Health Authority (SHA).
Speaking Saturday during the installation of Bishop John Lelei in Kapsabet, Nandi County, President William Ruto said that the state will not only withdraw the licenses of the facilities but will also ensure that illegitimate payments made are recovered.
He said that if all Kenyans closed ranks in fighting corruption, the country would save the large sums of money going into unscrupulous people’s pockets.
He further took a swipe at government critics, stating that the transformation of the country will not be derailed at the expense of political expediency.
