FIFA World Cup Defending Champions Argentina have been drwan against debutants Jordan in Group J of the 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup 2026, to be co-hosted by Mexico, Canada and the USA.
Other teams in Group J alongside Argentina are African representatives Algeria and Austria.
2022 semifinalists and the highest-ranked African side, the Atlas Lions of Morocco, will get Group C fixtures underway against five-time champions Brazil.
Other teams in the group with Morocco are Scotland and debutants Haiti.
Mexico-South Africa was also confirmed as the tournament’s opening match in Mexico City on Thursday, 11 June 2026.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 group stage was conducted on Friday night with a dazzling final draw at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC.
The month long football Bonanza which will feature 48 teams for the 1st time will be held between June 11 to 19th July 2026.
Kevin Hart, Heidi Klum and Danny Ramirez hosted a star-studded draw show that opened with a spine-tingling performance by Andrea Bocelli and also saw Robbie Williams, Nicole Scherzinger, Lauryn Hill and the Village People entertain the watching world.
