Darts:David Munyua to become first Kenyan at the PDC Worlds

David Munyua defeated Cameron Carolissen of South Africa to lift the Africa Open cum PDC Darts World Championship held in Nairobi.

Munyua claimed an 8-6 win over his South African opponent to qualify to play at the Ally Pally stage.

Enroute to the final Munyua defeated compatriot Wilson Kaimenyi 7-2 while Uganda’s David Ocheng was eliminated by Carolissen.

Over 100 players took part in the championship billed as the toughest in the continent. The 2025-26 Darts World Championship is set to be held 11th December -3rd January 2026 in London

The 2025 PDC World Darts Championship was held from December 15, 2024, to January 3, 2025, at Alexandra Palace in London, England, and was won by Luke Littler.

Littler, who defeated Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in the final, became the youngest player in history to win the title.
