Lamouchi appointed Tunisia head Coach on a three year contract

Tunisia have been drawn in Group F in this year’s FIFA World Cup alongside the Netherlands, Japan and a European playoff winner.

Tunisia have appointed former Nottingham Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi as head coach on a three year contract just five months before they compete in the FIFA World Cup.

Tunisian Football Federation Lamouchi’s appointment on Wednesday replacing Sami Trabelsi, who was shown the door following Tunisia’s AFCON round-of-16 exit in Morocco.

The federation confirmed that Lamouchi has been given a contract running until July 31, 2028.

The 54 year old brings a blend of European coaching experience and cultural familiarity with Tunisian football and had previously worked in England’s Championship with Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City, and also managed Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais.

In continental football the Tunisian born had previously coached Ivory Coast.
