Raymond Cruz, who played the iconic villain Tuco Salamanca in the series Breaking Bad, has been arrested.

The actor was charged “on suspicion of misdemeanour battery” after allegedly spraying someone with a hose while washing his car in front of his home in Los Angeles.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said that officers responded to a call about an alleged battery in the Silver Lake neighbourhood around 10:40 a.m. Cruz, 60, was arrested via a private person’s arrest and taken into custody, the spokesperson said. No further details have been provided.

The actor’s agent, Raphael Berko, denied that Cruz sprayed anyone intentionally and called the accusation “so outrageous and dangerous.”

Berko said the incident involved Cruz and three women he did not know, who parked very close to his car in front of his home as he was washing it. Despite his asking them to move their vehicle so it wouldn’t get wet.

No criminal charges have been brought against the actor, so far.
