Govt, Lipton to establish academy to improve tea processing skills

The government in partnership with Lipton Teas and Infusions Company, is set to establish a Tea Academy to improve the skills of tea processing in the industry.

CS Education, Ezekiel Machogu discussed the modalities of partnership with Company’s Chief supply chain officer, Bruno Laine.

Lipton company is the leading tea exporter globally where they buy 21pc of Kenya’s tea and 50pc of their export is from the country.
Lipton have their presence in Mombasa and Kericho.
Principal Secretary University Education and Research Dr. Beatrice Muganda and Director Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET)  Langat  Kipkirui  were  present.
