Harambee Stars Head Coach Benni McCarthy has unveiled his 25-man final squad for the 8th African Nations Championship tournament pencilled in for 2-30 next month in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Zanzibar.
McCarthy named a squad blending both the experienced and young players as Kenya looks forward to recording an impressive performance in its maiden appearance.
Faruk Shikhalo, Sebastian Wekesa, and Byrne Omondi are the final three shot stoppers, while the backline will be led by the skipper Aboud Omar, Siraj Mohammed, Alphonce Omija, Sylvester Owino, Michael Kibwage, and Daniel Sakari, who will be joined by debutants Manzur Suleiman from the Under 20 team, Swaleh Pamba, Kevin Okumu, and Lewis Bandi.
Brian Musa, Alpha Onyango, Austine Odhiambo, Ben Stanley, and Marvin Nabwire form the final 5 midfielders.
The attacking line-up is made up of experienced Masoud Juma, Mohammed Bajaber, Boniface Muchiri, and Ryan Ogam alongside first call-ups David Sakwa, Austin Odongo, and Felix Oluoch.
The team will be captained by Abud Omar, and he will be assisted by Daniel Sakari and Alphonce Omija.
