Megan Thee Stallion has shared publicly that she has split from NBA star Klay Thompson after less than a year of dating.
In a statement, the “Anxiety” rapper said: “I’ve decided to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritise myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
Earlier, Megan addressed the reasons for her split on her Instagram.
“Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house…got ‘cold feet,’” she wrote. “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season, now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???”
Megan and Thompson publicly confirmed their relationship in July 2025 while attending the Pete and Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City.
“I won’t tell you how and I won’t tell you when, but it was a movie,” Megan said in an interview on the red carpet, calling Thompson “the nicest person I’ve ever met in my life.”
When asked how he felt about attending the gala alongside Megan at the time, Thompson told US Weekly: “Well, it feels incredible because Megan is such a special person, and she inspires so many around the world. I’ve seen it firsthand.”
“This is just another incredible feat of hers to be able to give back, create a foundation, and raise a ton of money for those in need. And I’m honoured to be here by her side,” he continued, referring to how Megan founded the Pete & Thomas Foundation in 2022. The organisation, focused on uplifting undeserved communities, is in honour of her late parents, Joseph Pete III and Holly Thomas.
Megan and Thompson also went Instagram official in July 2025, sharing photos of their tropical vacation on their respective social media accounts.
Thompson previously dated actresses Laura Harrier and Coco Jones, while Megan was linked to Torrey Craig in September 2024 after dating rapper Pardison Fontaine from 2021 to 2023.
