Speaker Moses Wetangula, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi joined leaders in honouring the late Raila Odinga at his final resting place in Kang’o Ka Jaramogi, Bondo, Siaya County.

National Assembly Speaker joined the former Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo, and other leaders in paying homage to the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga’s final resting place in Kang’o Ka Jaramogi, Bondo, Siaya County.

The Speaker honoured the late Prime Minister as a true giant of Kenya’s democratic journey and further described him as a man whose fingerprints are deeply imprinted in the nation’s fight for democracy, justice, equality, and freedom.

“Baba made countless sacrifices for peace, unity, and prosperity — a level of selflessness rarely seen in politics. The continued flow of mourners at Kang’o Ka Jaramogi, a week after his burial, speaks volumes about the love and respect Kenyans and friends from across the world had for the People’s President,” noted Speaker Wetang’ula.

He proposed that a copy of the Hansard capturing his contributions as Lang’ata MP and Prime Minister during National Assembly Sittings be preserved in the Jaramogi Museum.

“I commit to dedicating a full chapter to Baba in my upcoming book, a reflection on the political journey we walked together,” he promised.
