2024 CHAN Chronicles: Groups and Venues

The 8th edition of the African Nations Championships (CHAN) is set to be held in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania from 2nd to 30th next month.

Taifa Stars of Tanzania will play the opening match in Group B against the Stallions of Burkina Faso on 2nd August  at the 60,000-seater Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium at 8pm.

Hosts Kenya will begin their campaign in Group A against the two-time champions, the Democratic Republic of Congo, at the Moi International Sports Centre at 3pm, before the Atlas Lions of Morocco battle Angola at Nyayo Stadium at 6pm.

Co hosts Uganda Cranes will get their campaign underway on 4th August against Algeria at the Mandela Stadium.

 Group A: Kenya, Morocco, Angola, DR Congo, Zambia

Group B: Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic

Group C: Uganda, Niger, Guinea, Algeria, South Africa

Group D: Senegal, Congo, Sudan, Nigeria

Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam (60,000 seats)

Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi (60,000 seats)

Mandela National Stadium in Kampala (42,000 seats)

Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar (15,000 seats)

Catch all the 42 matches live and exclusively on KBC Channel 1 from 2nd to 30th August 2025.
