Tanzania’s Twiga Stars are the 2025 CECAFA Women’s Cup champions after edging Harambee Starlets from Kenya by a solitary goal in the last round-robin match played on Saturday evening at the Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam.

After a barren first stanza, Kenyan defender Enoz Manzo scored an own goal in the 49th minute, which was enough for the host to lift the trophy for the first time since 2018 and 3rd overall.

Twiga Stars won all four matches to finish with a maximum of 12 points, 3 ahead of silver medalist Kenya.

Tanzania used the tournament as the last preparations for next month’s WAFCON tournament in Morocco.

2022 Champions Uganda Crested  Cranes finished 3rd.
