Kenya to play its CHAN group A fixtures in Kasarani

Harambee Stars, will play all its African Nations Championship (CHAN) group A matches at the Moi International Kasarani Stadium.

Co-host Kenya will get its campaign underway against two-time champion DRC on Sunday, 3rd August, this year.

According to the fixtures released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Friday, Harambee Stars will face Angola on 7th August in the 2nd match and Morocco 3 days later.

Kenya will wind up its group assignments on 17th August against Zambia’s Chipolopolo.

All other Group A fixtures besides Harambee Stars will be staged at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Co-host Taifa Stars of Tanzania will get the tournament underway in Group B on 2nd August against Burkina Faso at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium, before facing Mauritania on 6th August and Madagascar three days later.

Tanzania will conclude its group matches against the Central African Republic on 16th August.

Co-host Uganda Cranes will begin their Group C action on 4th August against Algeria at the Nelson Mandela National Stadium before taking on Guinea on 8th August and Niger 3 days later.

The Cranes will complete their group’s fixtures on 18th August against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.

Defending champions will open their Group D campaign against Nigeria on 5th August at the Amaan stadium in Zanzibar, before facing Congo on the 12th.

The Teranga Lions will battle Sudan in their last Group D assignment on 19th August.

Group matches are scheduled to end on the 19th, before paving the way for the quarter finals on the 23rd and 24th, followed by the semis on the 26th and the bronze match on the 29th in Kampala.

The final will be played at the Kasarani stadium on 30th August.
