A solemn state reception was held at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Nairobi, to receive the body of the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga on flight RAO001.
The former Prime Minister’s remains were returned home from India, where he died of cardiac arrest at the age of 80.
Government officials, family members, and dignitaries gathered alongside thousands of Kenyans to pay their respects as the national flag-draped casket was received with full state honours, marked by military salutes, hymns, and prayers celebrating his life of service.

A steady stream of dignitaries arrived at the VVIP offices at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi to pay their final respects to the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga.
