Kwetu Nairobi, Curio Collection by Hilton, welcomed a host of guests for their annual Christmas cake mixing affair in an afternoon of music, culinary adventure, and family fun.

The cake mixing event marks the beginning of the holiday season and presents an opportunity to connect with family and friends. The guests, both young and old, were warmly welcomed with a delectable spread; glistening dried fruits, aromatic spices, and rich nuts, all awaiting their transformation with a team of hotel staff donning Christmas hats.

Laughter and cheer filled the air as individuals rolled up their sleeves and mixed the ingredients in what was a symbolic act of blending the season’s finest offerings with loved ones. It was a celebration of togetherness, creating lasting memories and strengthening the bonds of family and community.

“At Kwetu, we believe in creating experiences that feel like a ‘home’,” said Agnes Ooko, Executive Pastry Chef at Kwetu Nairobi. “This event captures our essence: the warmth of family, the luxury of a shared meal, hands-on tradition, and the joy of commencing the festive season together. The mixed fruits will now mature, allowing the flavours to deepen, ready to be baked into our Christmas cakes—a true taste of the anticipation we feel today.”

The Christmas cake will be a highlight to look out for at the hotel this season, with lots of activities lined up to ensure a festive-packed celebration of the most joyful time of the year.
