The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has recommended the suspension of a top National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) official for engaging in graft.
In a document seen by KBC Digital, the anti-graft body, Roy Sasaka Telewa, NGAAF CEO through its findings has been accused of violating Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 for the offences under Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act, 2003, Proceeds of Crimes and Anti-Money Laundery Act, 2009 and the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015.
Further, EACC said the allegations touch on possession of unexplained wealth, abuse of office, conflict of interest and money laundering.
“Pursuant to the provisions reproduced hereinbefore and to ensure that these investigations are conducted without interference, we recommend that the above-named officer be suspended from office for a period of six months from the date of receipt of this letter pending completion of our investigations,” said EACC.
The probe into his alleged illegal activities gained momentum after EACC detectives conducted searches on his premises on 8th, January, 2026 where incriminating documents and information were retrieved.
Following EACC’s request for his suspension, Roy Sasaka will receive half pay pending investigations and determination of the allegations made against him.
