Ambani elected new AFC Leopards Chairman

Boniface Ambani is the new AFC Leopards Sports Club Chairman after emerging the winner of Sunday’s election held in Kasarani Stadium.

The former Kenyan international, who is also the club’s legend, emerged the winner in Sunday’s election with 1,101 votes.

Former Commercial Director Vincent Enos Mutoka finished 2nd with 682 votes.

Isaac Mulindi was elected the new Secretary General in a close contest with 678 votes ,against Robert Situma, who finished 2nd with 534 votes.

Irene Sitawa was 3rd with 529 votes.

Newton Lime Luchacha, is the new treasurer after polling 676 votes ahead of Edwin Chamwada Buhasho and Patrick Kanyangi, who garnered 599 and 445 votes, respectively.

The 42-year-old takes over from another legend Dan Shikanda, who has been at the helm for the past two terms of six years.

Among the challenges lying ahead for the new office bearers for Ingwe are the lack of a stable source of income and lack of a training ground, among others, which has hampered the team’s performance over the years.
