The Bangbet Kenya has launched a hospital fund aimed at settling outstanding medical bills for patients detained in hospitals due to non-payment.

The kitty, introduced under the company’s Changing Lives initiative, targets the underserved communities, with priority given to new mothers and victims of road carnage.

According to the organization’s CEO David Gichuhi the initiative seeks to ease the financial burden on vulnerable families and patients who are unable to leave hospital facilities after treatment due to accumulating medical bills.

The initiative was inspired by Bangbet’s recent outreach at St. Mary’s Hospital, which revealed the urgent need for sustained support in the healthcare space.

“This initiative is about transformation, not transactions. It’s about standing with the people, especially during difficult times, and using our platform to support real stories of hope and growth,” said David Gichuchi, CEO of Bangbet Kenya.

In line with existing BCLB guidelines, the event will not involve any promotional betting activities and will strictly focus on social impact.

The launch represents Bangbet Kenya’s ongoing commitment to operating as a responsible brand that gives back to the society that supports it.
