President William Ruto has said that the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) affirms the spirit of Pan-Africanism.

Beyond the competition, the head of state said the matches have showcased the unity, resilience, and immense talent of the African continent.

While congratulating Morocco on winning the CHAN 2024 Championship, President Ruto said all the participants in the championship displayed not only footballing brilliance but also the bonds that tie the continent together as one people.

“Congratulations, Morocco, on winning the CHAN 2024 Championship. This is a well-earned victory. We appreciate all the teams, officials, and organisers who worked tirelessly to make this tournament a success”, he said while appreciating all the teams,

He added that Kenya takes to heart the lessons of co-hosting the tournament and will use them to sharpen the country’s preparation for AFCON 2027.

Morocco secured a record third in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) title after overcoming first-time finalists Madagascar 3-2 in a pulsating final at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, on Saturday.
