CHRP revised Curriculum rolls out as HR Exam body releases August 2025 results

The Human Resource Examinations Board has released the August 2025 results, marking a strong uptake of the Revised Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) Curriculum.

A total of 1,222 candidates sat for examinations under CHRP Part I, Part II, and Part III – a significant rise from 1,107 candidates in April 2025.

Performance under the revised structure revealed areas of strength and improvement.

The highest recorded mean scores included HR Management Information Systems Coaching, Mentoring and Counselling – 68.84 and HR Accounting, Metrics and Analytics – 70.78.

On the other hand, the lowest recorded mean scores were observed in Accounting and Financial Management, Compensation and Reward Management and Strategic Management for HR Practitioners.

The exam body has emphasised that the old CHRP curriculum will officially be phased out by December 2025 with candidates who have not completed their studies by then will automatically transitioning to the revised curriculum.

Speaking during the release, the Board CEO CHRP Margaret Nguu urged dormant students to take advantage of this transition period.

“This is your moment. Do not let it pass you by. Seize the opportunity and complete your CHRP studies before the old curriculum comes to an end,” the statement read.

With improved candidate uptake and strong performance in key HR subjects, the revised curriculum is proving to be a timely and impactful upgrade, positioning future HR professionals to meet evolving industry needs.
