The Nairobi City County Government has announced the temporary closure of City Hall Way from the City Hall Way Roundabout to Parliament Roundabout to facilitate preparations for the upcoming WRC Safari Rally opening ceremony.
The closure will take effect from Monday, March 17, 2025, at 8:00 PM, and will remain in place until Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM.
During this period, the road will be inaccessible to motorists as rally organizers set up for the highly anticipated event.
Motorists have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and explore alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.
The county government has urged road users to cooperate with police officers and traffic marshals who will be deployed to manage traffic flow during the closure.
The WRC Safari Rally is a major international motorsport event that attracts global participants and fans and its opening ceremony in Nairobi is expected to set the stage for an exciting competition.
Nairobi City County’s Acting County Secretary and Head of Public Service, Godfrey Akumali, signed off on the announcement, emphasizing the importance of the temporary closure in ensuring the successful setup of the event.
