A light-hearted moment during a Coldplay concert in Boston on Wednesday night turned into a viral spectacle after a tech CEO and his coworker were caught on the venue’s kiss cam, fuelling online speculation about their relationship.

In footage shared on TikTok by user @instaagrace, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot were seen embracing before appearing on the jumbotron.

The camera lingered on the pair as Coldplay frontman Chris Martin commented, “Oh, look at these two.”

Once the couple realised they were on the jumbotron, Byron quickly let go of Cabot, who covered her face, as he ducked down in an attempt to avoid the camera.

“Oh, what…either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” Martin joked, after their reaction.

The brief, awkward encounter quickly gained traction online Thursday, with many social media users joking about the moment and speculating on the nature of the relationship between the two executives.

“Lol if they’d have just stuck it out and smiled for the camera this would never have surfaced as virally as it did,” one user commented.

Another joked, “Two rules: never try to hide from the Jumbotron and never run from cops or dogs.”

Neither Byron nor Cabot have publicly commented on the incident.
