Governor Wavinya Ndeti has called for unity, accountability, and responsible leadership across all levels of government.
Speaking on Sunday, the Governor urged national leaders to embrace governance reforms, curb public insensitivity, and prioritise fairness for all Kenyans.
She emphasized the need for reforms in governance systems, saying Kenyans are yearning for leadership that is transparent, responsive, and fair.
Governor Wavinya also voiced concern over the conduct of some public officers, calling for restraint and responsibility in public communication. She cautioned against reckless and divisive statements, warning that such remarks only serve to stir public anger.
She further appealed to the President and other leaders to pay closer attention to the youth, noting that they are increasingly demanding systems that work.
”The youth want accountability and governance systems that deliver,” she said. “We must listen to them.”
Underscoring the importance of national cohesion, the County Boss reminded Kenyans that development and peace can only thrive where fairness and inclusion are upheld.
She also encouraged the youth to stay grounded in faith and embrace the church and religious institutions for guidance and protection from harmful behaviours.
The Governor concluded by thanking the church for remaining a moral compass, describing it as the voice of reason in the nation.
