Iran has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties with Kenya.
Iran’s Ambassador to Kenya, Dr. Ali Gholampour, said Iran is keen on partnerships in trade, education, health, agriculture, housing, and ICT.
Speaking in Nairobi during the International Quds Day, he disclosed that the upcoming Iran Twin-Africa Conference and Iran Expo set to take place from April 27 to May 1 in Tehran will further boost cooperation between the two countries.
Quds Day is held on the last Friday of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan
Dr. Gholampour said the events will create opportunities for discussions on economic and diplomatic partnerships.
He added that Iran remains open to deeper engagement with African nations.
The envoy also extended best wishes to Muslims ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan.
