The Junior Golf Foundation has unveiled a team of four junior golfers who are expected to take part in the inaugural Africa Junior Region IV Championship, scheduled 26th– 28th August 2025 at the Tamarina Golf Club in Mauritius.
The championship will bring together top young golfers from Region IV countries under the Africa Golf Confederation umbrella.
The four players selected include:Kanana Muthomi,Navya Nagda,Parv Kavia and Maahir Patel
The players were selected owing to their impressive showing during the 2024/2025 junior competitions.
‘’For the first time, Africa’s rising stars will compete in a dedicated regional platform designed to nurture talent, foster friendships, and prepare juniors for future international competition’’, a statement from Junior Golf Foundation,JGF,intimated.

The Region IV Championship is inspired by the growing success of continental competitions such as the All-Africa Junior Team Championships which has over the years provided Junior African golfers with opportunities to showcase their talent on the global stage.
This year’s championship will feature participants from 6 countries namely: Mauritius, Madagascar, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Réunion.

Speaking after the squad announcement, Junior Golf Foundation President Vincent Mukiri emphasized the importance of the championship, noting that it provides a competitive stage for young golfers
“This championship is historic because it provides our juniors with a rare chance to compete against their peers on an international stage while building camaraderie and representing the country with pride. We believe this platform will inspire them to reach even greater heights and prepare them for future professional careers in golf,” said Mukiri.
