Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is expected in Kitui and Makueni Counties Thursday in a one-day tour of the Kamba region.
In Ukambani, the DP will visit Zombe, Kitui East Constituency and Mukuyuni, Kaiti Constituency, Makueni County for an economic empowerment engagement.
Yesterday, the Deputy President was in Embu to preside over the National Macadamia Conference 2025 at Embu University Grounds, Embu County.
While in Embu, Kindiki assured Macadamia farmers of the Government’s commitment to local value addition and the policy direction that discourages export of raw Macadamia, the sector can earn Kenya over Ksh 10 billion annually besides creating up to 30,000 jobs.
He assured stakeholders of the Government’s commitment to enforcing regulations, enhancing governance, and protecting the reputation of Kenyan produce in global markets.
