Spotify held a Wrapped Party at Koda in Nairobi to celebrate the artists who dominated Kenya’s streaming charts in 2025.

The event drew Kenyan music royalty, including Otile Brown, Bensoul, Victoria Kimani, Mordecai Dex, Maandy, Matata, and Nviiri the Storyteller, all of whom turned up to support the new wave of artists who claimed top spots in this year’s Wrapped charts.

Vijana Barubaru opened the night with their signature harmonies, performing hits like “Romantic Call” and “Kautamu Flani” featuring Bensoul.

Njerae delivered the emotional high point with an intimate performance built around “Aki Sioni”, the most-streamed song in Kenya this year.

Watendawili took the energy even higher as they performed favourites like “Cham Thum” and “Hadi Kesho”. The duo surprised the crowd by bringing out Matata and Charisma to perform some of their biggest collaborations.

“Kenyan artists are telling powerful stories and building real communities. When musicians understand their audience and engage with the data behind their growth, they open doors to even bigger stages in Kenya and beyond,” said Jocelyne Muhutu-Remy, Spotify’s Managing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa.

Toxic Lyrikali closed out the night with a powerful hip-hop set.
