Nyeri to host the 19th round of the KCB East Africa Golf Series

Nyeri Golf Course will host the 19th leg of the ongoing KCB East Africa Golf Series slated September 13th.-14th 

More than 250 golfers are expected to participate in Saturday’s tournament,with action teeing off at 6:30 am for the morning round and resuming at 12:30pm for the afternoon session.

Speaking ahead of the event, Nyeri Golf Club Captain Jacob Nyaga said:

“Our course is in pristine condition. Nyeri has become a hub for key golf events in the region. The KCB Golf Series attracts a large number of participants, so we can expect a good outing this weekend. It will be competitive, fun, and interactive.

The regional tournament has so far traversed over 10 counties in Kenya and is also held in East Africa Countries of Burundi and Uganda.

Over 2,000 participants have taken part in the series thus far including 1,000 junior golfers.

KCB Group Director of Marketing and Communications, Rosalind Gichuru,emphasized the bank’s close ties with the Nyeri golfing community:

“Nyeri is always home to us. For the third consecutive year, our series is being held at this esteemed club, showcasing the amazing relationship we share. We expect a huge turnout on Saturday through to Monday, when we will also host the caddie tournament.”

On Sunday, KCB will host over 100 juniors for a golf clinic, giving young players hands-on exposure to the sport.
