OLA Energy Kenya has launched the O’Lab Clinic, a pioneer mobile quality control equipment that modernizes vehicle testing by conducting rapid tests conveniently at a customer’s location and giving a snapshot of the condition of their vehicle equipment. The mobile clinic will serve both industrial and automotive customers.
The O’Lab clinic has equipment to help in condition monitoring and diagnostics. It includes a battery tester to check battery health, an emissions tester to check the health of the vehicle exhaust systems, an engine diagnostics tester to check for errors within the engine, and an infrared thermographic imager to give a spectrum of temperature within operating equipment. It has an oil filtration unit to test for oil viscosity and clean oil that may have dirt. The lab also has a vibration meter, a stroboscope, and a vehicle electronic diagnostics kit.
During the launch held at the oil marketer’s head office in Muthaiga, vehicle diagnosis and testing, battery and emissions testing were carried out for the OLA Energy staff vehicles. This was done to ensure their safety and educate them on best practices in lubrication. The launch was also held for the staff to appreciate the lab’s benefits and to enlist them as O’Lab brand ambassadors among customers.
“At OLA Energy, we provide services and products that keep our customers going. The launch of this O’Lab Clinic is one such product that was developed to give a proactive approach to our client’s needs. We can now take tests on-site, do condition monitoring of equipment, and offer technical support to inspect equipment and give recommendations,” said the OLA Energy Kenya General Manager, Dr Yousef Elhemalli.
The clinic will enable the OLA Energy team to serve its customers at their locations and thus offer a convenient solution to equipment diagnosis. The equipment operators will also be able to give recommendations on how customers can improve their processes and reduce their downtime.
O’Lab is a highly specialized tool that was added to OLA Energy Kenya to enhance Field Engineering Services and provide value-added services to its current and prospective customers. The lab enables rapid tests to be carried out as opposed to previously when the OLA Energy team had to take samples to a stationary laboratory in Mombasa and wait for days to receive results. O’Lab is part of OLA Energy Kenya’s aftersales Technical Support Service that are offered free of charge to customers.
