The Sultanate of Oman reiterates its support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco, expresses deep appreciation for the wisdom of Moroccan leaders who are committed to a peaceful solution in favour of security and stability in the Maghreb region, and commended the ongoing efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the al-Quds Committee, in defense of the Holy City.
Calling the autonomy initiative presented by the Kingdom of Morocco serious and realistic, the Sultanate of Oman asserted that it constitutes the basis for the settlement of the Moroccan Sahara issue.
This position was expressed in a joint communiqué issued at the end of the proceedings of the 7th Moroccan-Omani Joint Commission, co-chaired by the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Omani counterpart, Badr Bin Hamad Bin Hamoud Al Busaidi.

During this event, which saw the signing of several agreements, MoUs and executive programs between the two countries, the Sultanate of Oman also paid tribute to HM King Mohammed VI’s major role in supporting the Palestinian cause, particularly the city of al-Quds Acharif.
