Parents of form four candidate defiled in Nyamira demand justice

A form four candidate from Nyamira North sub-county has been defiled by unknown suspects.

The student who schools at a nearby day mixed secondary school was accosted by two young men Friday evening while on her way to buy cooking oil.

Narrating the ordeal, at her parents’ home in Isinata, Itibo ward, the minor said the duo dragged her into a compound, locked her up in a pit latrine, and one of them proceeded to defile her repeatedly as the other kept watch.

It was after the perpetrators fled that she raised the alarm for help.

She was rushed to Ekerenyo sub-county hospital by her parents for treatment who reported the incident at the Ekerenyo police station.

The parents who demanded justice expressed fears that the incident might affect their daughter’s performance in the forthcoming national exams-KCSE.

Her mother appealed to the area Women Rep, Jerusha Momanyi, and other elected leaders in the county to intervene to ensure justice is served and the girl-child protected.
