Premier Bank has introduced two groundbreaking innovations aimed at redefining Kenya’s financial services: Premier Connect, a Shari’ah-compliant, omni-channel digital banking platform, and Premier Tap, a next-generation wearable payments solution developed in collaboration with Mastercard.

The says the milestones underscore it’s commitment to providing ethical, progressive, and customer-driven digital solutions for today’s mobile-first generation.

Premier Connect: Seamless, Shari’ah-Compliant Digital Banking

Premier Connect provides a fully integrated, mobile-first platform where customers can:

  • Open accounts remotely, anytime, anywhere
  • Make instant payments (IFT, PesaLink, RTGS, SWIFT, BillPay)
  • Securely manage cards and access treasury and forex services
  • Enjoy seamless cross-device banking experiences

This innovation positions Premier Bank as Kenya’s first fully Shari’ah-compliant digital bank, merging convenience with compliance for modern, faith-driven consumers.

Premier Tap: Wearable Payments with Mastercard

In collaboration with Mastercard, Premier Bank has unveiled Premier Tap—a secure, contactless payment solution available through smart wearables, including watches, rings, key fobs, and phone cases.

Utilising Mastercard’s tokenization and encryption technology, every transaction is safeguarded against fraud, allowing consumers to pay swiftly and securely without cash or cards. Designed for Kenya’s young, urban, and tech-savvy population, Premier Tap combines style, security, and simplicity for a frictionless payment experience.

Premier Tap is available at all Premier Bank branches and via the My Premier App, where customers can sign up and select their preferred wearable.
