More than 100 residents of Athi-view Estate in Syokimau, Machakos County have benefited from a free medical camp.

The camp organised by Veteran Mission Hospitals, offered a variety of medical services including general check-ups, consultations, and specialised screenings for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and dental issues.

Residents also received free medication as part of the initiative.

Veteran Mission Hospitals Medical Services Manager, Dr. Benson Ariwo, said the medical camp is part of the facility’s ongoing community outreach efforts aimed at promoting health and well-being among local residents.

“This program is meant to improve access to healthcare services within our communities, especially for those who may not afford routine check-ups or treatment,” said Dr. Ariwo.

He added that the hospital intends to roll out similar initiatives in other regions to continue addressing health challenges at the grassroots level.
