Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kenny G will perform in Nairobi on September 27 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in what event organisers are calling “a special evening that promises to be as much an experience as it is a performance.”

Kenny G is considered the best-selling instrumentalist of all time, with over 75 million records sold. Among enthusiasts, he is celebrated for classics such as “Songbird”, “Forever in Love”, and “Breathless”, the latter being the best-selling instrumental album in history.

His career has spanned collaborations with music icons including Whitney Houston, Frank Sinatra, Celine Dion, and Kanye West, and he famously holds a Guinness World Record for sustaining a single saxophone note for 45 minutes and 47 seconds.

Sharing the stage with Kenny G are two of Kenya’s most respected contemporary artists.

Coster Ojwang, known for his soul-stirring Luo lyrics and blending traditional and contemporary sounds, has gained popularity and airplay for songs like “ManyoPesa”, “Hera” and “Wabiro”.

Also performing is Kato Change, the Nairobi-based guitarist whose style blends jazz, blues, flamenco, R&B, and African folk. His works, including “Abiro”, “Nyoro”, and “Oriti”, have collectively attracted millions of streams globally.

The event, billed as “One Night Only,” will open with cocktails, a red-carpet reception, and DJ sets scheduled at intervals throughout the night, 4:30 PM, 6 PM, 7 PM, 9 PM, and 11 PM, blending live music with a festive, social atmosphere.

Guests can expect a fusion of smooth jazz, world-class showmanship, and fine dining, with VIP tables for eight going for KSh 240,000 and offering premium seating, a complimentary bottle of Johnnie Walker Gold, a three-course dinner, dedicated waitstaff, and parking.
