Co-hosts Tanzania will get the 8th TotalEnergies CAF CHAN matchday 3 underway today as they face Madagascar in a group B match set for Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium from 8pm today.

Taifa Stars are almost certain of having punched their last 8 slots, leading the group on 6 points following their wins against Burkina Faso and Mauritania.

Madagascar will be playing their 2nd match in the tournament after settling for a barren draw against Mauritania on match day one.

Tanzania, who are appearing at the biennial CHAN for a 3rd time, seems to be breaking the group exit jinx in their past three appearances.

Mauritania, who are running out of time to register their 1st win in this year’s tournament, will tackle Central African Republic in the 5pm kickoff at the Mkapa stadium.

The Mourabitounes drew against Madagascar and lost to the hosts in their first two matches.

On the other end, CAR will be searching for a positive result after losing 4-2 to Burkina Faso on match day one.
