President William Ruto has issued a stern warning to government officials resisting the implementation of electronic procurement (e-Procurement).
He stated that those opposed to the system are free to leave government, firmly asserting that there will be no turning back on its implementation.
Speaking in Siaya County Sunday after attending a church service at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Bondo, the President said that he is not relenting on the war on corruption and will push to the end to ensure that public funds are safeguarded.
The Head of State reaffirmed that the war on corruption will continue until the vice is eradicated and public funds are fully secured.
Ruto said no institution or individual will escape the purge on corruption, adding that public resources must be protected.
“There is no going back on electronic procurement; any official that is not willing to work with us on e-procurement can quit and go work elsewhere”, he said.
