The 37th Kenya Homes Expo officially opened on Thursday at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), uniting key players in the real estate, construction and environmental sectors to tackle Kenya’s housing challenges head-on.
With climate change and sustainability at the heart of this year’s theme, the expo seeks to foster collaboration and innovation toward building a greener, more affordable future for all Kenyans.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Daniel Ojijo, Executive Chairman of Kenya Homes, underscored the urgent need for joint efforts to address the nation’s housing crisis.
“The housing crisis in Kenya can only be addressed through united initiatives and sustainable practices. Our commitment today is to explore innovative solutions that will not only meet current housing demands but also protect our environment for future generations,” said Ojijo.
The four-day event, running from April 25 to April 28, features a wide array of exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge technologies, eco-friendly designs, and sustainable building materials.

With Kenya’s urbanization rate surging, the expo also serves as a platform to stimulate dialogue around affordable housing solutions, a key pillar under the government’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
