American superstar Beyoncé has won her first Emmy for Best Costumes in the category of Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming.

The win comes as a result of her Western-themed halftime show on Netflix’s Christmas NFL game between the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans, dubbed the “Beyonce-Bowl.”

The award was among the juried Emmys announced yesterday that are determined outside the regular voting process and given out by committees, with no official nominees.

These awards are usually technical and are announced in advance of the official ceremony. The awards will be handed out on September 7, one week before the official ceremony.

The “Cowboy Carter” singer has been nominated for 10 Emmys before this one, but has never won. This win means the 35-time Grammy winner is halfway to EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) status.
