Busia County is set to host Transgenerational Conversations, a forum led by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) in collaboration with the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).
The event will take place at Farmview Hotel, starting from 7:30PM, and will be broadcast live on KBC Channel 1.

Unveiled last year, the Transgenerational Conversations brings together voices from all generations in the country aimed at fostering mutual respect and understanding between age groups.

According to NCIC, the overall objective of the transgenerational conversation strategy is to empower diverse peace actors to initiate and sustain initiatives aimed at fostering common understanding, conflict resolution, and social cohesion within Kenyan
communities.

The initiative was started by the commission following the GenZ’s spirit during last years June protests in calling for accountability, good governance including political decency and integrity.
The Commission’s Chairperson Dr. Samuel Kobia has strongly called on Kenyans to embrace intergenerational dialogue as a path to healing through the forums as the country strives to chart a new and inclusive path forward.
