The Information, Communications and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo has re-appointed four members to the Media Council of Kenya (MCK) board and declared four other new vacancies.
Through a Gazette Notice, the CS has re-appointed Joseph Maina Muiruri as the Chairperson of the board alongside Susan Karago, Timothy Wanyonyi Chetambe and Tabitha Mutemi who have been reappointed as members.
The four will serve on the council for a term of three-year, effective 25 July 2025.
In a separate notice, the CS announced vacancies for member positions at the Council.
According to the notice, suitably qualified individuals have been invited to apply for the positions withing seven days of the publication date (25th July 2025).
The applications will be forwarded to the Selection Panel as provided under Section 7(2)(b) of the Act.
The notice further states that the previous Gazette Notices No. 658 of 2023 and No. 1570 of 2023 have been revoked.
