Ethics and Ant-corruption Commission (EACC) North Rift Regional Manager Major (Rtd) Kuntai Ole Tingisha, has called for enhanced transparency and accountability in County Government recruitment processes.
Speaking in Lodwar during a meeting with the Turkana County Public Service Board (TCPSB), Kuntai emphasized the need for integrity in public service, noting that recruitment must be free from corruption and favoritism to ensure fairness.
The visit, which also introduced him as the new Regional Manager, aimed at strengthening collaboration with the Board in promoting ethical governance, improving transparency, and enabling the public to access services more efficiently in line with the county’s mission of open and honest governance.
TCPSB Chairperson, Peter Ekunyuk Ingollan, revealed that the Board is in the process of automating its recruitment system to make it more transparent and accessible.
Ingollan also affirmed the Board’s commitment to working closely with the EACC to implement anti-corruption recommendations, citing policies such as the Procedure on Prevention of Bribery and Corruption.
He noted that preparations were already underway for the 2025 Wealth Declaration exercise scheduled for November.
